El Comit\u00e9 de Operaciones de Emergencia (COE) inform\u00f3 que en las \u00faltimas 24 horas se han registrado 48 accidentes de tr\u00e1nsito en los que han fallecido 8 personas. De la cantidad total de accidentes, la mayor parte, es decir 34, involucran motocicletas. Se han involucrado 61 personas en esas fatalidades.<\/p>\n

Estas informaciones son recopiladas bajo el operativo de Navidad en su segunda fase, Conciencia por la vida y est\u00e1n contenidas en el segundo bolet\u00edn.<\/p>\n

Juan Manuel M\u00e9ndez Garc\u00eda, director del COE, al presidir la conferencia de prensa en la que inform\u00f3 de estas estad\u00edsticas, deseo a la poblaci\u00f3n que retorne de sus vacaciones con mesura. \u201cEste a\u00f1o lo que queremos es que la poblaci\u00f3n escuche el llamado de las autoridades para que que ocurran menos siniestros<\/em>\u201d, agreg\u00f3.<\/p>\n

M\u00e9ndez Garc\u00eda inform\u00f3 que de los 8 fallecidos, tres ocurrieron dentro del dispositivo de seguridad vial y 5 fueron fuera del mismo, involucrando cuatro motocicletas, tres veh\u00edculos livianos y un atropellamiento.<\/p>\n
